Privacy Policy

Last reviewed: 8 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PlatePilot ("we", "our", "us") collects through https://platepilot.shop (the "website"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible

PlatePilot is responsible for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write.

When you request a meal-prep plan

Our plan request form collects: your name and email address (required); your phone number (optional); your household type, diet, preferred prep time, goals and any notes you choose to add (for example allergies or dislikes); the date and time of your request; and a record that you gave consent. If your notes include health or allergy information, you choose to share it, and we use it only to tailor your plan.

We use this information only to prepare and email your plan and to respond to any follow-up. We don't use it for marketing, add you to a mailing list, sell it, or share it with advertisers. Requests are emailed to our inbox and kept on our web server in a location that isn't publicly accessible.

Collected automatically

Our web host records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit) for security and troubleshooting. If we enable analytics or advertising services, those providers may also collect device and usage information through cookies, as described below.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use necessary browser storage to remember your cookie choice. With your consent where the law requires it, we may use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, and Google AdSense and Google Ads to show and measure advertising.

Learn more in how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can change your choice any time with the Manage cookies link. See also our Cookie Notice.

4. Why we're allowed to use your information

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on: consent for plan requests and for optional cookies (you can withdraw consent at any time); legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the website and replying to emails; and legal obligations where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help run the website — such as our web host, email provider and, if enabled, analytics and advertising partners — or where the law requires it. We don't sell personal information.

6. How long we keep it

Plan requests and emails are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we need to keep them for a legal reason. Server logs are kept according to our host's settings. Analytics and advertising data follow the providers' retention settings.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to: access the information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to its use; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent. Residents of California may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

This website is intended for adults. Plan requests must be made by someone aged 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Security and international transfers

The website uses HTTPS encryption, and stored requests are kept in a restricted location. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our service providers may process data in other countries, with appropriate safeguards where required.

10. Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change, and revise the "last reviewed" date above.
